Our Corrugated Skins - There is a difference!

Example one:  90 degree offset 3'' peak to peak. 3'' must be precise.  If this tolerance is not exact with each corrugation it will progressively become out of specs.  Example:  Each corrugation will become further out of specs with each corrugation application.

Example two:  If exact 90 degrees from the horizontal is not maintained the rivet holes in the spar will become off set and no longer align with the proper spacing from the corrugation.  Further; the top and bottom trailing edge corrugation will also be out of alignment.

Ailerons:  There is an offset of 7 degrees off the 90 degrees horizontal plus 40 arc minutes (there are 60 arc minutes in one degree).  Therefore, this totals just slightly more than 7.5 degrees off the horizontal 90 degrees.  In as much as the corrugated skin is offset the “peak to peak” will be slightly more than 3'' as measured from the horizontal.  All these factors must be considered in order to maintain the proper specs.

Beechcraft corrugated skins measurements are not 3'' peak to peak; they are less.  This slightly less dimension will be enough that the corrugations will not align with the spar holes.  RJ Dauhn Aircraft is capable of fabricating these required dimensions.

Do not be misled by our lower prices.  We have designed fixtures in order to accomplish these requirements.  As a consequence, we enjoy a lower production cost which, in effect, is passed on to you, the customer.  Give us a try; you won’t be disappointed.
